Many people who take up the French language sometimes find it difficult to make the progress that they desire. The French language can be a complex one to learn and it requires a lot of focus and attention to master it. If you are struggling to learn French and would like to improve your French in ten months then here are some tips on how you can do just that.

It is important that you be open minded when you set out to learn French. Do not limit your learning by your own beliefs about the language. Also you should not try to create your own method of learning French as you may confuse yourself and make it much more difficult to lean. To learn French you need a tried and proven system.

To improve your French in ten months you will need to have a plan. Your plan should centre on the four main components of the French language, namely listening, comprehension speaking, writing, and reading comprehension. For your plan make sure you allocate time each day to address at least two of the components. You are advised to begin with learning French word pronunciation and the French grammar. You should spend at least three hours per day working your plan. To achieve the goal you must submerge yourself in the language.

You can also try to find a native French speaker to have conversations with. You can try the many forums online or ask your tutor to suggest someone to you.  In fact you could communicate via the internet with someone who actually lives in France, all you would need is a microphone and webcam. You may also post an announcement on an advertising forum or even in the newspaper in your area.

If you have access to the internet you should also listen to those French radio stations that have programmes that air online. Listen to the news in French and see how much you understand. Do this every day it is a great way to practice.

You can also do just about the same with French movies. Simply get a French movie that has subtitles, and watch it and see what you know.

Another technique you could try is to get yourself some French books and read them aloud. This will assist you in getting your pronunciations correct and improve your conversation abilities.

The key to improving your French in ten months is to practice every day for a reasonable amount of time.
